Anyone having toddler sleep issues? Guess what? You are NOT alone!
Not only are toddlers notorious for protesting sleep, but, with the added stress families are feeling during Coronavirus times, their sleep is getting disrupted by their STRESS levels. Odd eh? Here's the thing. When our cortisol (stress hormone) is too high, our melatonin (sleep hormone) can't build. This results in struggling to GET to sleep and/or STAYING asleep. This isn't just a toddler thing - it's a human thing! SO - if YOU or your TODDLER is struggling to sleep, I want you both to try these things and see what works for you or your toddler: - Epsom salt baths - bring magnesium into our system that needs it desperately. - Sound machine with nature sounds - CAN be soothing to some toddlers. - More time outside - nature regulates our nervous system - Move your body - give it a good push once or twice a day. If we are stuck in "fight or flight" it will reset your system so you can sleep. AND - if none of these work, give me a call! I have had a slew of clients coming to me with THIS as the root issue. #riseandshinesleep #stress #Covid19 #toddlersleepissues #adultsleep #childsleep #sleepdisruption #sleepissues #stressandsleep #insomnia #meltdowns #tantrums #bigfeelings
